Take a Look at the Best Activities on Disney Cruises

Thinking about taking a Disney cruise with your family, but still aren’t convinced? Well, you’ll have a hard time finding anyone who’s been on a Disney cruise and didn’t love it, so there’s little reason to doubt the promises made in all the brochures. What might help though is taking a look at all the fun activities that you and your family can take part in once you are on the ship. There’s more to do with these cruises than you may think.

Disney cruises aren’t just family fun. There is a lot more to it. Actually, there is enough going on for adults that many people take to these cruises even when they don’t have kids. Why not? You get to experience a fun filled vacation, and you get to be a part of some of Disney magic that will make you feel like a kid.

Like other cruises, grownups can find relaxation in spas and at the pool. There are actually several pools, and a special one set aside just for adults, so they can enjoy themselves in a quieter, splash free setting. On top of that there are all sorts of presentations that are both enlightening and enjoyable, so you should be sure to take advantage of some of these and learn about wine, witness behind the scenes’ movie action, and improve your golf game.

When the kids go off alone, they’ll have a great time doing all sorts of things, depending on their age. Kids under three have a great time in Flounder’s Reef, where they’ll be exposed to what’s essentially a babysitting situation. Older kids of eight to twelve though, can go to the Oceaneer Lab. They’ll learn how to make their own animations, they’ll create their own TV segments and create a great mess of flubber in the Sorcerers Workshop.

One of the big concerns with family trips is the hard to please teens. They tend to get stuck in a weird pull between grown up activities and baby activities, but not on the Disney Cruises. Teenagers get their very own nightclub aboard the ship, take part in karaoke contests and learn practical photography techniques. To get a bit more social, they can also take part in pajama parties and mini sporting events.

When the family comes together, which is the whole point after all, there are even more options. Everyone knows that there are a lot of shows to take in and Disney characters to meet, and there are even great places to eat with magical family atmospheres, but there are also planned activities geared towards the whole family as well. Be sure to check out the meet the crew parties, and family karaoke and dancing contests. In a way you won’t grasp until you’re actually there, Disney cruises offer more activities than you can possibly fit into your stay. Choose carefully, and don’t take on too much. The last thing you want to do is become too exhausted from just a couple of things. Then you won’t be able to enjoy anything else on the ship!
